Value

Mentor Artist for Value

Value Activities

Value refers to how dark or light parts of an image are in relation to each other. Without value, we wouldn’t see line, colour, texture or shape. We can talk about the value of objects, shapes and space. We often have specific  connotations associated with value. For example, we associate dark areas with fear, gloom, mystery, drama, etc. We associate light areas with happiness, lightheartedness, warmth, closeness, fun, etc.
