Cowichan Valley Rail Trail

This is a great spot in CRVD. Have been there once before just for a walk at the Kinsol Trestle (accessed from Shawnigan Lake area). Went for a jog today from the Glenora Trails Head Park access point. You have the choice of going left (S) 13 km to the Kinsol Trestle or right (N) takes you over the Holt Creek Trestle (beautiful) and there are links also to the Trans Canada Trail and to the Cowichan River Foot Path. If you keep going on the Rail Trail past the Holt Creek Trestle you get to Skutz Falls. Unfortunately didn’t take any pictures today so am including one from my visit to the Kinsol Trestle a couple of years ago. Really beautiful area – although icy for a run right now with the snow we’ve been having and definitely glad I didn’t take my bike as the trail was too ice/snow covered to be passable by bike.
