Reef Knot

This is one knot I can reliably do…we taught this one at Cub Scouts last year.

Reef knot – left over right and then under, right over left and then under.

Use this to tie a rope around an object (e.g. a tree). Apparently it shouldn’t  be used to tie two ropes together  because it has the potential to become unstable.
